Conference "The geography in the new millennium"

 

AGAT carries out dissemination activities of the ECO-CREATIVITY project through meetings, workshops and conferences. On Friday December 16th was held the conference "The geography in the new millennium" organized and managed by the association. The place was the Great Hall of Geography  inside Sapienza University in Piazzale Aldo Moro, 5, Rome. AGAT utilized the event also in order to spread the interest in the Ecocreativity project.


The event was made possible thanks also to the contribution of Sapienza - University of Rome under the Funding for cultural and social needs of students and in collaboration with the AIIG (Italian Association of Geography Teachers).

The conference analyzed the changes in the geographic reality in universities and national professional and explored the role of geography in the third millennium. The objective was to raise awareness through a scientific debate analyzing trends and developments in geography outside the national territory.

During the day was given the opportunity to Nicola Franceschi and Valentina Ferrari to present and talk about the Ecocreativity project. About sixty people were attending the conference.

The conference proceedings were printed before the event and distributed during the conference. The book, published by Valmar publishing house with ISBN number 978-88-905639-5-9 and edited by Andrea di Somma and Valentina Ferrari, collects the speeches of the conference speakers including (pages 60 -64) the paragraph “Earth S.O.S. through Eco-creativity”.


To further promote the Eco-creativity project were stamped and distributed leaflets about the project topic.
